Forum: movies Subject: How to change the thumbnail image on the cover of the video

Hi,

I am a recent user of Archive.org and have been using it mainly to upload videos and then linking them to my own website by using the "embed code" option.

Is there any way to change the image that appears on the video as it appears on my website. What I am trying to say is that after embedding the code, the video (with the play/pause tools etc.) appears on the screen with the wrong cover image on it. It seems as if somewhere between my taking the "embed code" and placing it in my website, some random part of the video is grabbed and is set as the cover image of the video.

Any help/advise would be greatly appreciated,

Thanks

check out:

http://www.archive.org/help/video.php

that's using the new player new/upcoming embed code (that's also a "permalink") and shows you an easy(-ish) way to pick specific thumbnail or any image to use as the "splash / click to play".
